Modern Slavery Statement

Last updated: June 2026

Our Commitment

Old Genius Creative is committed to ensuring that modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and labour exploitation have no place in our business or supply chains. We operate as a small, independent UK web design service and take our responsibilities under the Modern Slavery Act 2015 seriously.

About Our Business

Old Genius Creative is a sole-trader web design service based in the United Kingdom. We design, build, and maintain websites for local UK businesses. Our operations are straightforward, transparent, and conducted directly with our clients.

Our Supply Chain

Our supply chain is extremely limited. We rely on standard digital services and software tools — hosting providers, payment processors, and design software — all from established UK or international providers with their own robust ethical and anti-slavery policies. We do not engage subcontractors or agencies for design or development work.

Policies and Practices

We maintain the following practices to prevent modern slavery:

  • All work is conducted directly by the business owner. No subcontracted or agency labour is used.
  • We only engage with reputable third-party service providers who demonstrate compliance with modern slavery legislation.
  • We conduct business with transparency, fairness, and respect for all individuals.

Risk Assessment

Given the nature of our business — a single-person digital service with minimal supply chain — we assess the risk of modern slavery within our operations as very low. We remain vigilant and will review this assessment as our business evolves.

Training and Awareness

As a small business, our modern slavery awareness is maintained through direct oversight and commitment to ethical business practices. We will undertake formal training should our business structure change in ways that increase risk exposure.

Review

This statement is reviewed annually and published on our website. Our next review is due in June 2027.
